Outside of work, I love traveling with my family. I also enjoy photography and amateur filmmaking. I am an adoptive parent and am also part of a blended family. These experiences offer incredible gifts as well as unique challenges, both of which broaden my perspectives on and enhance my understanding of

the vast complexities of relationship dynamics.

For over two decades I have worked privately and in
schools and community agencies as a licensed psychotherapist,
a certified school counselor, a behavioral consultant,
a case
manager and a vocational rehabilitation specialist;
I have led
therapy groups and facilitated parenting workshops, and I have
developed skill building programs for adults, adolescents and children.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and hold a master's
degree in Educational Psychology and Counseling from the
University of Washington. I attended Western Washington
University for my undergraduate work, which focused
on Psychology and Special Education.
If you're looking for extra support and guidance to help you through a challenging or painful situation, or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I would be honored to work with you to help you achieve your goals. I look forward to helping you better understand and resolve whatever difficulties
you are facing.
Life is a balancing act.
Counseling can be a helpful way to get the extra
support you need to regain balance when you are faced
with challenges that take you off course.
By seeking professional guidance to help you manage
life's ups and downs, you are one step closer to feeling
more empowered and to creating a positive
path to personal growth and well-being.

My therapeutic approach promotes personal growth, emotional balance, healthy relationships, and overall well-being. I help my clients deepen their understanding of themselves and their unique strengths, and cultivate their innate capacities for healing. I will work with you to help you expand your examination of the issues that challenge you, and will do so with respect and professionalism, in a safe and friendly atmosphere. I work with adults and adolescents; services are available for individuals and family groups. LGBTQ welcoming and affirming.

Each of us has the innate potential for
self-realization, and this is our ultimate and  necessary goal in life. Our intrinsic abilities and potential will blossom as inevitably and naturally        as an acorn  grows into an oak tree.
